Vietnamese companies have contracted to export 3 million tonnes of rice by the finish of June, while outcome from the winter-spring crop dang ky logo plus stocks would give a mixed 5 million tonnes in the period, the Nhan Dan (People) papers reported, citing data from the Vietnam Food Connection.
Rice prices in domestic markets have been easing after a brief pickup in the beginning of March when purchases under a government-backed stockpiling plan started, the survey said.
Vietnam is the world's third major rice exporter after Thailand and India.
