(Reuters) - Rackspace Internet hosting Inc noted a sixteen p.c leap in quarterly income, aided by greater demand from customers for its world-wide-web-internet hosting providers.

The company's net profits fell to $25.4 million, or 18 cents for each share, in the quarter ended March 31, from $27 million, or 19 cents for every share, a 12 months before.

Profits rose to $421 million from $362.2 million.
